My Thoughts:
It took me nearly a week to finish this book because I read it for one day, then left if for four days before finishing it on the sixth day. So that tells you right there that the beginning wasn't very gripping. Once it got flowing a little better it was pretty interesting, though I can't bring myself to feel for Sutton, she seemed to be such a crappy person. Also, Sutton's personal perspective should have been written in a different font or something, I kept going through her parts not realizing until half way through that it was a different POV, so then I'd have to go back and read it from the proper perspective and that got kinda of annoying, lol. I think the whole who-dun-it could have easily been wrapped up in one book, so it seemed kinda of dragged out, but overall the suspense is good enough to make me want to read the second book and get some more info about it all. Emma's character was pretty good, and I really liked Ethan. All in all, The Lying Game did have some blah parts, but once I chose to sit back down and finish reading it it did peak my interest. The second half definitely held my interest more than the first. I gave this book 4 stars, and would recommend it. :)
Favorite Quotes:
★ Ethan ~ “Actually, I think your Bitch Star is part of Orion's belt.” (Page 62)
★ David had officially become the Boy Who Cried Port-a-Potty. (Page 101)
★ Ethan ~ “Do you always hurl tennis rackets at people you're happy to see?” (Page 130)
★ A counselor once caught her making a happy face with Cheerios during a session and told Emma that she probably did it because she was lonely. But Emma just thought that everything she ate deserved some personality. (Page 134)
★ At least she had a clear picture of what the Lying Game was now: Girl Scouts for psychopaths. (Page 202)
★ Doesn't every girl think her sister wants to kill her? (Page 235)
Overall Opinion: ★★★★

I haven't read the book, but I love the tv show! Although, the entire actual "lying game" part of the plot has only been hinted at, and it's getting really annoying.
